1950's Philips Jupiter 553/3D Valve Radio

1950's Philips Jupiter 553/3D Valve Radio - This table top valve radio is in good working condition. Cosmetically has marks and wear, and as can be seen shows its age inside and out.
But as demonstrated in the video it is still usable and has a nice warm sound. Where the radio is located, we could only get reception on one wave band. The magic eye works wonderfully to show signal strength allowing you to fine tune to the best reception. Being a valve radio, it takes a little while to warm up and get going, but considering that it has only been used roughly once or twice every five years or so in our ownership, it has always started without fail. Enjoy as a retro ornament or attach an aerial to get better reception. 4 radio bands LW, MW, KW and UKW. Also has the capability (If you can find the right connector) to connect to tape and phonograph. 3 speakers with tone adjustment.
Due to the build and age of this item it will need to be collected by its new owner, or a specialist courier to be arranged.
