1960 Dinky Supertoys 955 Commer Fire Engine - This chunky model was available from 1952 to 1970. This example is in aged condition with wear to the paint. It is missing the extension to the ladder, but otherwise in good physical shape. Ideal restoration candidate.
The Fire Engine was introduced in 1952 and subsequently renumbered to 955 in 1954. The 555 model had cast hubs with a two piece silver ladder that can be extended. In 1954, the model was renamed to 955 with many variations over the next several years. Windows and plastic hubs were included in later models. Both models showed their identification number on baseplate - 555 and 955.
Model #555 was issued between 1952-54 and Model #955 was issued between 1954-70.
