1990 Altima 3 Personal Portable Computer - Spares, repair or retro ornament.
This 35 year old early laptop is in amazingly good cosmetic and physical condition looking quite fresh in its computer beige colour. Comes with portable battery (Untested), mains lead, original manuals and Altima holdall carry case.
When powered on the fans whirred, but then there was a pop and a cloud of smoke, so I am guessing some capacitors popped, as the fans continued to whir.
So definitely will need repair if the intention is to use it. When it was last powered up 5 years ago, it booted to a DOS prompt.
I have found absolutely no information about it online apart from an article about the Altima One: Altima One (MIC Jan 90)
