Open Play: This section allows players to enjoy Warhammer 40,000 without restrictions. It includes rules for Ork players to field looted vehicles, guidelines for creating custom characters with unique abilities, and flexibility in army composition and scenarios. It also includes the Cities of Death expansion, which provides missions and rules for intense urban combat in ruined Imperial hives.
Matched Play: Designed for competitive gaming, this section contains updated Eternal War and Maelstrom of War missions, along with carefully balanced points updates. It also includes new profiles and rules for elite units like Commander Farsight’s battlesuit-armoured warriors, known as the Eight, and a beta codex for the Sisters of Battle.
Appendices: The book collects updated rules for battlefield terrain, datasheets, and points values. It also provides an index for Renegade Knights and other special units, ensuring players can integrate these into their games seamlessly.
Practical Applications
Custom Characters: Players can create unique champions or recreate famous figures from the 41st Millennium, such as Ibram Gaunt or Doomrider.
